Forge Vs Mr Fantastic

whos the better inventor of weird new devices?

FORGE. Without a freakin doubt. He blows Reed out of the water.

Forge because he can build any type of machine that he wants.

Forge take an idea from someone and bring that idea to life far faster than Reed can. No contest.

Reed can come up with better ideas. No contest

Hmm...gonna need some help remembering some good stuff Forge made...I remember he made a gun to take down Hulk...I dont know if he actually made a time machine or just operated them? Not really a fair comparison though...Reed has his own comic and has been inventing something crazy every issue since 1961.

Forge made an inhibiter devise that cut off Prof.X's telepathy. And les not forget the famous gun that take away mutant powers. But you are right Wynndar. Reed has been in way more comics to invent things. Its not really much of a comparison considering all of Reed's appearances.

nope i think forge needs determination or motive to invent something.

Forge does have the advantage of having the "invent anything gene" but I think Reed would be better overall because he actually knows the how? behind the devices.

I look at it this way:

If the contest was - figure out a way to beat Silver Surfer I have odds on Reed over Forge. Reed is a master planner and versed in all areas of science. Forge can't make that claim (though he's a pretty good magician).

If the contest was - build a gamma absorbing ray gun, I definitely think Forge takes it first.

Now imagine Forge, Reed and Magneto mindlinked through Xavier. Anything Reed thinks of, Forge can blueprint and Magneto can build in seconds....

I think Doom and Magneto have something similar to this

I have to go with Forge. His power is to create any machine that he can think of. I know if I had that ability I would make another machine that makes me have other powers as well. What's to stop him from making a machine that gives him celestial like powers?

Yeah Reed is great and all, but Forge's power is to do it.

anything he wants is hyperbole. The kinds of stuff he builds is still one or two tiers below Reed/Doom type tech. Like I said. Forge hasnt been in many comics and only has a handful of impressive inventions. Reed literally comes up with something more advanced in every issue...this honestly isnt close.

Reed: "I watched the creation of the universe with the assended being that sent the cosmic rays that created the F4 (actually happened last issue)...how about you?"

Forge: "Oh I made device that looks like a backpack but it actually takes away Gambit's creole accent."

Reed: "Oh...the F4 have nanotechnology that already does that...but ur back pack thing is neat."

Forge can't build ANYTHING he wants, His mind just works out everything subconicusly, as aposed to Reed acualy thinking it.

Reed wins beacuse he acualy understands how his inventions work.
Forge might make a weapon and not know how to use it afterwards.

BTW, the forge and magneto thing dosen't work nearly as well since there are many non-metal objects many of his devices need.
