Mortal Kombat 3 question about Kabal

I just want to confirm this but in MK3 doesn't Kabal use some form of hook sword? How did he use them? This is an ongoing dispute between me and a friend and he doesn't want to admit defeat.

He's got these crow bar type things going. Hook swords is pretty accurate a description.

From what I can tell, he just holds them like swords and hits his enemy with them.

BTW, I think I saw you at the Comic Con again this year, wanted to say hi but was rushing to get to a panel, awesome costumes, yet again.

I think its a crowbar for sure.
