The End of All Things

‘Wake up Elijah…wake up…why won’t you wake up, you can’t be dead,’ Sheldon said holding Elijah outside the Dragon’s Nest. Elijah did not budge nor breathe and a tear ran down Sheldon’s eye, ‘wake up…please wake up…’
Sheldon laid Elijah on the ground feeling that all hope was lost. No hope remained but the pendant still hung from Elijah’s neck. Sheldon remembered the words of Galatians before leaving Mayton:

‘All life on Igros relies on Elijah taking the Pendant to Mount Vovlian, do not allow him to fail or else nothing you or I once loved will still remain and all that is good will be engulf in the very shadows’

‘I have no other choice, I have to finish the quest myself,’ Sheldon spoke softly to himself. His hands trembled and shacked as he grabbed the chains of the pendant around his departed friend’s neck. Sheldon couldn’t bare himself to remove it from Elijah for he bore it for nearly a year now. ‘I…can’t do it. This task was given to Elijah not me.’
The ring given to Elijah begun to glow a bright blue color and slowly his eyes opened. 'E-Elijah!? But how...I saw you get stabbed by the Dragon Lord, the wound is completely healed.'
'I guess I had a little help from the angel of the woods,' Elijah said still dazed coughing up some blood. He could hardly breathe but Sheldon was happier then anyone could ever been. 'Help me to my...feet Sheldon...please.'
Sheldon lifted Elijah up by his hands and assisted him to stand up. Elijah could hardly keep his head up without struggling. Sheldon helped Elijah to the edge of the cliff were they could see the land of ash and lava and shadows, Darkice and far north they could see the horrible image of Mount Vovlian with the terrible Tower of Diablen at the peek.
'Darkice...I can see the end of are quest at last,' Elijah said still breathing hard.

'Shall we rest for the day?' Sheldon asked.
'Nay,' Elijah said. The two hurried down the side of the black mountain stumbling all the way down. Sheldon couldn't keep his footing and fell to the ground and rolled the rest of the way down and from where he was it wasn't terribly too far down. Elijah knelt down next to Sheldon at the foot of the black mountain and behold! thousands of dai-orks were gathered around Mount Vovlian.
Elijah and Sheldon say no path or hope of getting pass these monsters the dark Lord himself created finding that the lesser orc was too weak to conquer the world of man. Elijah and Sheldon looked into the vast armies that appeared to be nearly one hundred thousand dai-orks, orcs, trolls, men, and even war elephants. High above circled dozens of terrible dragons breathing flames into the blackness of the sky.
The most horrible sight was not the thousands of dai-orks but the five reapers mounted on dregins but the worse was airborne. The Reaper-King himself would be leading the final assault against men. Mounted on a terrible winged dregin.
