Well I'm back from my long weekend on the lash and it was excellent, I've lost 1/2 a stone from the lack of food and my memory of the last 4 days is very very patchy.
On the down side, I had to drive about 250 miles today on my 1st day back at work. 🙁
Needless to say we had quite a celebration after Englands win over the Argies, I feel thats become more of a grudge match than Germany for us now. It makes me feel proud to be English that we said before (and after) the match, if we beat Argentina, we wouldn't be celebrating in thier faces as they did to us on thier team coach when they won.
We rock. 😎
Who cares about an island full of sheep when we kicked thier asses in the World Cup?
With France and Argentina both playing this poorly (they were joint favourites to win) this World Cup is getting really exciting.
The only real danger comes from Brazil and Italy, but if we can get the same linesman who ran the touch-line in the last Italy match we should kick thier asses too! Brazil are good but thier poor defending could allow a good side to put a few past them, thier only tactic seems to be, "score more than the opposition". 🙄
The only bad thing about our win against Argentina was that I lost all my bets that I'd placed on the results and scorers! I'd had Owen to score first (so was gutted when Becks took the penalty), England to win 2-1, England to win 3-1 and finally Argentina to be winning at half time and England to have won at full time. 🙁
