Movie sucks. End of discussion.
❌ No it's not.
Just finished watching this movie, here are my thoughts,
This movie opened up pretty good with Jason getting blown to bits in the first 10 minutes and his head flying off in slow motion which is one of the best scenes I have seen in the franchise,Even though you do not se Jason too much,I also think it is the best looking ''zombie jason'' since part 7,now with the movie just starting and Jason already blown to bits,we are left thinking 🤨 Now HERE is where it gets messy, this movie tried somthing different, now instead of Jason being the killer, well he still is,but his soul is using different bodies, which I thought worked pretty good but understand why some people did not like it.......I am NOT saying this is a good movie, but I think it is very watchable, and how's this.......
While watching it again I noticed the ''Book of the dead'' from the Evil dead movies is in this film 😱
Which opens the question.....Is Jason's soul, connected with the ''Evil Dead'' somehow? ........I think so
Also this film has the BEST suprise ending ever!
The beginning was the best part of JGTH. It's weird how Jason looked pretty much the same from Parts 6 through 8 but then suddenly changes in JGTH.
The idea of the movie sounds great. You never know who the killer is! Jason could be anybody! But in execution, it falls flat. You wind up with a F13 movie that has the least amount of Mr. Voorhees since Part 1.
The highlights were the Necronomicon and Freddy's hand at the end. To answer your question, the book doesn't mean anything. Horrors used to reference to each other a lot back in the day.

Thanks for taking a bit of time with your post....I still wonder why they chose to put the ''book of the dead'' in it though.......Maybe they were thinking of doing a movie with Ash in it a long time ago......
