Okay while I have been away I've had time to come up with an idea for a Harry Potter Role Play anyway here goes.

The Story-

This takes place a few weeks just after the events of Deathly Hallows meaning just after Harry defeated Voldermort.
In the wake of the mayhem,A feeling of sadness and loss still lingers in the air, Especially for the Wesley's who have lost a valued member of their family and a legend he was..However The Ministry of Magic have seen fit to reopen Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry and have extended a year for those selected students who never got chance to finish the last year and given the opportunity to return for one more year.A letter is sent out to those students and they are to return to Hogwarts in September.

Seeing as this a valued opportunity Hermione as usual is delighted to have the chance to finish out her year at her favorite place in the world .
Harry and Ron are not so enthusiastic though however hermione being as she is manages to persuade them to go back for one more year seeings as it would benefit them in more ways than one, Harry would want to go because Ginny would be there and Ron would want to go because Hermione would be returning also. New trials will commence as the students face the next phase in their career choices with exams also to taken at the ministry of magic. Quidditch season will also be at place at Hogwarts along with unlocking new secrets in the school itself. The aftermath also brings into question of some death eaters who am seeking revenge after Voldermort's demise. can the four houses come together as one as Dumbledore always wanted to face these new trials.

The Plot

New adventures will begin, the favorite places and locations along with Hogwarts will be explored further, New teachers will be there along with brand new spells to learn, new friends to be made, romance blossoms.
Also the ministry have planned two main events to be taken place at hogwarts this year, One of them being The twi-wizard tournament which am to be completed by means of three highly challenging and dangerous tasks,The ministry of course knowing the tragedy at the last one do not wish to repeat that and am more vigilant and cautious and once again only students that will be allowed to take part in this would be 17 and over.

More info on the twi-wizard tournament the rules have changed for the event as 10 from each house Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and they will be over 17 they will complete it won't be with other international schools completing as it will be house against house for this one.
makes it fair that a few will get to complete from different houses not
just the one from hogwarts against another school. so that should be fun.

The Multiverse Traitor Game - Now brought over to KMC!

This was a hit at Comic Books Resources forums. And, it is so huge a hit, it even has a wiki on its own now.

What do you get when you cross the popular group game, 'Mafia/Werewolf' with a pop culture inspired multi-universe crossover RPG? You get something that might be a bit similar to the Traitor Games, I suspect. Characters from all sorts of different worlds, each from different genres, are all put together in one place to discover the identity of the 'Traitors'. This results in the strangest gatherings one is ever likely to see.

From the FAQ section:
How do I play the game?
1) When a game is set to begin, there must first be a Sign-Up Thread. In it, all prospective players post to express interest and choose what character they want to role play as. Some games/hosts want characters to fit to a specified theme, so be sure to read carefully before making a character selection.

Unless otherwise stated in the Sign-Up Thread, characters can come from any media, any genre, or even real life.

TMPC: In other words, though I might be hosting the first few games just to show you how things work, in future games, other players of the game might get their chance to host one as well!

2) The game thread proper is created, normally with a clever title. "The Traitor Game: Massacre on the Doorstep!" (Not a real title.) There, the rules for the game are reiterated and the characters are gathered.

3) Soon, the Traitor(s) strike(s), killing off one character. Frequently, the first kill is some character that was controlled by the host of the game (commonly referred to as a First Kill NPC). This is done to allow those who signed up more time to play the game. The banished and dead can usually interact with those still alive through means defined in-game.

4) Within the voting phase, the Agent(s) send(s) in their guess for that round.

5) Rinse and repeat steps 2-5 until the Traitor(s) is/are found or till all other characters end up dead.

TMPC:
The kill system goes something like this -

Round One: Traitor Kills
Round Two: Vigilante Kills
Round Three: Traitor Kills

Note, however, that the pattern is random by default. You could have all the kills being performed by the Vigilantes in a game for all you know.

What are the different roles?
The majority of players in the game have no particular role, but there are a few special roles that impact game play. Roles are assigned by the host after the Sign-Up Thread is closed, but before the first kill.

Main roles

Traitor - A character working to kill off members of the larger group. When more than one Traitor is included, each (Traitor) works with the other to determine who dies and by what means.

Agent - A person in this role is allowed one guess per round to determine who is a Traitor. This is done by PMing (Private Messaging) the host of the current game. The results of their guess (whether they guessed correctly or not) are revealed in-thread. If a game has more than one Agent, the Agents act as a team. They confer on the guess and submit that guess to the host.

Vigilante - A force for the side of Good, the person in this role works to kill who they think is a Traitor. Every few rounds, the person in this role kills instead of the Traitor(s).

Breaker - Sometimes, this role is assigned so that if there is a tie during the voting rounds, this person will get an extra vote to break the tie.

Inquisitor - This role has existed since the third game. A non-player appears and has the players he or she suspects plead their innocence.

Censor/Secret Role - Only used twice, this role allowed the person assigned this role the ability to quiet or neutralize one vote.

Note: The names provided are the "base" names. For each individual game, they may be given a different name that better suits the theme, setting, etc.
What Are Some Guidelines To Playing?

NPCs - Use of Non-player characters (or NPCs) should be limited. An NPC is any character included in the game that is not on the list of players (that will be killed off; meaning that NPCs are bystanders of the game invulnerable to the Traitors and do not serve big purposes to the game). There are plenty of characters with which to interact, so NPCs aren't really needed for that purpose. NPCs can also be disruptive, depending on what they do. If you want to use an NPC, make sure it's for a good purpose. If you're unsure whether or not to use one, PM the game's host.

God-Moding - No god-moding. Period. Can the host really enforce that? Not really. But people will complain and you might be held in contempt. It is definitely not recommended to go against this guideline.

Communication - If you suspect you know the identities of (any of the) Traitors or Agents, do not contact them privately for any reason. If you are an Agent, please do not reveal classified information after death. In general, anyone can talk to other anyone else for purposes of coordinating stories or story elements or even to discuss the game.

Quoting - Some people have complained in the past regarding people quoting whole posts when responding to just a portion of it. It unnecessarily clutters up the page and sometimes makes it difficult to follow your train of thought.
What are NPCs?
NPCs are "non-playable characters". In terms of the Traitor Game, they could be more adequately described as "non-player characters". Essentially, these are characters that are brought into the game by a participant for some purpose, whether it be to provide some humor, do a brief aside with their character, provide someone new with which others can interact, etc. Some are there from the start, as supporting characters. Examples in the past have included Bluto (supporting Popeye--XIV), Nightmare (supporting Warduke--XII), and Sif (supporting Thorpool--X).

NPCs are not involved with the game itself, at least not in the same sense as the other characters gathered. They cannot vote. They can not have a role.* If associated with someone who has a role (say Robin being the partner to Batman), they can not aid in the function of that role. Therefore, NPCs are not allowed to kill, assist in killing, or reveal any inside information an Agent might possess.

*Excluding the Inquisitor role -- see the "roles" section above

How do I go about choosing a character to play?
It might be best to choose a character you know a lot about or feel comfortable playing. Some games have themes, however. For example, Game XII was an all-villains game. If there is a theme, just make sure to abide by it.

TMPC: More information on the characters. If it isn't obvious by this point, you are able to choose any characters from any 'worlds/universes/mediums', be it video games, comic book series, manga - as long as he/she is a pop-culture icon and fits with the specific theme in the game.

Do I have to change my avatar when I play?
You don't have to change your avatar. Providing an image of your character somehow is appreciated, but not mandatory in any way.

Why do people include prologues? Do I have to?
Some people like to have prologues to establish where in their character's history/timeline they were pulled from. Also, it helps as a practice run for playing the character before the game actually starts, to get the voice down, if you will. But overall, prologues are by no means required.

Are there multiple storylines going on in one game? If so, how do you decide which to participate in?
Normally, there are multiple story lines going on, as various players introduce NPCs, cameos, and their own subplots. Sometimes they cross. Sometimes they don't. But despite all that, the players are still united by the main story, the Traitor Game. You can choose to get yourself involved in any story line you wish aside from the Traitor Game, with a few exceptions; just note that sometimes you might interefere with what a player has in mind for that story.

What was the Traitor Game Award Show?
The First Annual Game Award Show was an in-character awards ceremony to reward the various players of the TGs for their roleplaying efforts over the course of the first 12 games.

TMPC: In the future, if this goes well, we might even have our own award show as well!

And those are only the FAQs! The game is so elaborate and complex that I couldn't believe it started out as a game with no interactions or story! Yes, as a 'sandbox' format, the first game only started out with a simple system - vote and kill. Vote for the Traitor and kill off the players. That's all. No storylines, not much dialogues. With the system progressed into such an advanced stage, it is now more fun and more interact-able.

(cont'd - my message length was too long)

So, just to sum up the means to satisfy the requirements:

1. No, it is not just a random 'Traitor-kills Player-votes' game. As I stated just above, in the first game, it was like that, but as the system improves, as more 'Traitor Games' were made, the story became something like this:

Pop-culture characters across multiple universes are creating games they refer to as 'The Traitor Games' for different purposes. Some for revenge, others for the sick twisted fun of seeing friends manipulating themselves into killing. All games are bloody (though no real 'mature' words would be included); deception is the key.

2. As stated, you could choose any pop-culture referenced characters in any TV shows, movies, cereal boxes, books, etc. As long as it fits the theme of the game.

3. If you are looking for the rules here, you have obviously scrolled all the way down here, past the rules above.

4. A note on the 'player vs plotlines' system. Though most subplots the characters create are disregarded in the following games, some aspects of those plots might be considered to be included, thus possibly requesting the return of those characters to continue playing out those little subplots.

That's about it. Really hope this game will fly. I've enjoyed playing it, and I hope you would, too. Until next time, choose your RPs wisely, because GMs give us more of what we play, and as always,

LONG LIVE GOOD RPs.
