The Last Of Heroes

A gigantic war has left the whole world in disorder and anarchy. The otherworldly weapons used in the war have recreated Pangea. Three factions rose from the destruction and started battling each other for ultimate power in the ruins of the former war, displaying the inability of humans to learn from their history. They are:

The Great Empire
A strictly organised, militaristic organisation.
The Kingdom Of The Enlightened
A collection of religious fanatics who believe in human sacrifice.
The Clans Of War
Many different groups of feral humans.

During the former "Great War" radiation turned many humans into mutants, humans with special powers and abilities. These were trained into deadly infantry units. Even now mutations wander New Pangea and display their superiority in battle. But that comes at a cost: some mutants turn into abominations, abominations are mutants who do not have control of themselves and run berserc until they die.

A fourth faction, so small that it can hardly be called that has had enough of war and wants to and the fighting in any way possible, even if that means exterminating all life. You belong to that faction.

(More info coming up if people are interested and changes may be made.)

Sounds good im in

If another person is interested I'll add a char sheet.

yea, i'd sorta like to join... but i think you should add like a technology centered faction, like they 'perverted technologies and used them to create new bio-engineered humans' or something like that

Well that faction was destroyed during the great war. Where did you think all those weapons came from? 😉
But maybe they're somewhere in the shadows...

First I'll just put something about the factions:
The Great Empire:
They mostly rely on firepower and discipline, not mutants.
The Kingdom of the Enlightened:
They mostly rely on destroying the enemy with pure numbers and will power.
The Clans Of War:
They are nearly completely composed of mutants and seek close combat.

Character Sheet:
Name:
Race: (Mutant/ Human)
Age:
Abilities:
Weapons: (May change throughout the RP)
Bio: (Where did the char originate and other stuff)

Please do not make a char yet!!!

Rules:
1: No godmodding.
2: Do not insult other players.
3: Ask me (you may PM me about the RP anytime) before you make any "big" choices that would affect the storyline.

I would like to remind you that this is a world that hasn't known peace for so many generations that nobody remembers what it's like. Try to show that in your posts, these aren't greenhorns! These are men and women who only know war!

definately count meh in then

Bladewind

Anybody else?

Would anybody be interested in a medieval RP? (with magic and monsters)
I'm asking because it doesn't seem like the medieval setting has any fans among this sites community.

Thought so... 🙁

Weapons:
E33 Rifle: Semi-automatic.
V88 Sniper Rifle: Self-explanatory.
Q12 Heavy Machine Gun: Full-automatic.
G66 Shotgun: Self-explanatory.
(More will be added)(All weapons can be modified with blades special ammo etc.)

Choices:
The fourth Faction "The Peacekeepers" are split into two subfactions: "Annihilate" and "Redemption". Annihilate believes in destroying all life to ensure peace. Redemption believes in teaching the waring population of New Pangea peace. The players will have to make choices like: "The enemy has given up what do you do with them?" Annihilate would execute them and redemption would integrate them into their community. Through such choices you influence the storyline. I will keep track of your choices so I can refer back to them later on.

Rules:

I will not have a specific character. Instead I will control the NPCs and guide you in a certain direction.

Players:
Bladewind (Master)
Samurai100 (Player)
magicturtle (Player)

Hi Ushgarak, I'd like to propose an idea for a game too.

It's an original story based on a game I'm producing for ps3, called "Azure Wyrm". The name holds alot of the plot already, so I'll tell you it. First off, I wanted to call it 'blue dragon' but there was already a game named that.

"Azure" = a shade of blue. (I wanted this to represent Blue Magic skills in the Final Fantasy universe. The abilities you'll gain through play are all based on what you've encountered and gained permanently as evolutionary bonuses or traits.)

"Wyrm" = a type of dragon. (The players will eventually evolve into dragons, but not just one kind. Will you become Wyvern, Dragon, Wyrm, Chinese Dragon, Water Dragon, Linnorm or Mountain Dragon?)

Plot and setting: Earth, in the near future. Geneticists have been experimenting trying to create an adaptable life-form that can single-handedly solve any ecological problems. It starts out formless, just like slime. Wherever they put the slime, it will first eat things to blend in with the area and gain traits unique to the area itself (gills near or in water, natural internal cooling if in the desert, camoflauge in the forest, etc.)
But the scientists did not test thier experiments with you properly, and thought you were a failure. Instead of dispose of you properly, they dump you out somewhere that they think no one will find you and are left for dead. But you are not a failure, instead you are the greatest success! But because they disposed of you, they didn't put out the 'territory marker' chemicals, commanding your biology to stay within its borders. You are free.

Gain body parts, special abilities, stat bonuses and more by eating genetic material- plants or animals, alive or dead. Gain special abilities of various kinds by eating other items, like chemicals, medicines, tools, or other items. Some powers/abilties can only be unlocked with certain conditions... I'll let you know 🙂 Eating people doesn't get you body parts, instead you learn what that person knew. Some people have special knowledge. Your ultimate goal is "curing" an area of disease or overpopulation, and making a Lair to keep your personal territory safe- for you at least.

All players must start at the 'slime' stage, and can choose from a few start locations:
Beach
Swamp
Forest
Sewer

Or if I give permission, they can come up with new ones and I'll figure out what they encounter there. The start locations must be places that actually exist right now on this planet and time. By no means is a character limited to only thier start location. They can travel, too! I figured out 'save points', which you can make yourself once you unlock it. But if you save, then get cool powers, and die, then you do NOT have those powers when you 'respawn' from your save. It is possible for your save to be destroyed. A fun goal is your dragon hoard, which I'll go into more detail with if the game is approved and someone gets to 'dragon' stage. Your lair can be looted. Humans, NPC dragons created just to fight against your weaknesses, or other player dragons might steal from your hoard, which affects some of your stats.

When players unlock specials from eating humans with special knowledge as stated above, it is BEGGED from me to keep conversations having to do directly with it in PM, so other players don't get spoilers. If you're good enough at RP, then it won't matter, of course, but let's be nice to others anyway. Players' names are 'code names' for that slime sample. Please name yourself something that works with that.

Dragons don't speak in this game. To interact with other players... (if you encounter each other I'll... give hints.) If you want to interact with other player dragons, you have to do so with YOUR DRAGON'S BODY LANGUAGE ONLY.

Anyone want in?

YES YES YES, omg.... great idea, cannot believe i never thought of that, original and creative, i would very much so want to be involved in the RP, BTW, when is the game gonna come out for PS3?

I'm interested but not quite sure yet. Sign me up for now anyway.

Vicis Ruina

The city of Ikanine had rested at the center of the known world, and many saw it as just that, the center of the world. The center of the world's commerce, trade, knowledge, and power. When Ikanine's people spoke, the world listened. When Ikanine suffered, so did every community connected to her. Ikanine was nothing less than the core of human life. The destruction of Ikanine was the single most crippling blow the world had ever known.

Ikanine's population numbered in the millions, and not one of them could have foreseen what was coming. On the seventh day of winter, at sunset, a low rumbling began in the city's center, and began to spread. Within moments, the city was shaking, and cracking. Wide chasms openned beneath the feet of Ikanine's people, her buildings crumbled, and her people panicked. After a few moments, the ground went quiet, the shaking stopped, and the destruction seemed to have ended.

Ikanine's people breathed a collective sigh of relief. It was a short lived moment, however. No sooner had the city set aside it's fear, than spikes of stone erupted from the earth all across the city. They shot from the ground, one after another in rapid succession. Each spike miles high, and hundreds of feet across at it's base, threw the shattered remains of the city's stone buildings high into the air. Within seconds the entire city had been levelled, and all that remained was a forest of monoliths, impaling the corpse of a once proud city.

Ikanine was dead, and only a handful of people had survived her ruin. These few would seek out one another, and with no idea of the danger they were in, begin to look for answers.

Vicis Ruina is a roleplay set in a medieval fantasy setting. The heroes may be characters of any sort, though a few restrictions apply.

-Characters are not much more powerful than other people to begin with. (But grow more powerful over time.)
-Magic is available, but limmited. The destruction of Ikanine means that only the old ways, almost lost to time, exist to further augment your power.
-If you do something dumb, you may just die. However, a means of ressurection known as Trees of Life, exists. (Though are not immediately accessible, so be careful until you have access to one.)
-Available races:
Humans are present, but are not the most prominent race. They exist mostly on the fringes, though soome are spread all over the world.

The long lived Faelin, most common and dominant race in the world. They are essentially long-lived humans with pointed ears. But they aren't Elves!

The Kiri, immortal beings trapped in the bodies of children. Although very rare, it is possible some were drawn to the destruction of Ikanine out of curiosity. (Thus a character being a Kiri is possible. Also, yeah, I stole these from Zelda.)

The Nima, a people with animal like features, such as ears, tails, or fur. Maybe claws. It varies from Nima to Nima. They are almost as common as humans.

The characters will begin in the ruins of Ikanine, you have total freedom to make up an origin as it's a large world.

Who's interested? I promise there's a plot, and a very good one, which myself, and someone else who I'm keeping secret and actually deserves more credit than me, have come up with.
