Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
— Alphonse ElricEdward and Alphonse Elric were children living in a rural village. Their father, an alchemist, left home when Edward was very young and Alphonse was a baby. Years later, their mother died of a mysterious illness. The boys made the decision to attempt to revive their deceased mother. They studied alchemy with a teacher and then used their father's notes to recreate a human transmutation circle. Their attempt costs Alphonse his entire body and Edward his left leg. Desperate not to lose his brother, Edward sacrifices his right arm in order to bind his brother's soul to a suit of armor.
A State Alchemist by the name of Roy Mustang arrives shortly after in response to letters the boys had sent out seeking information about their father. Spurred on by the man's proposal, Edward sets out to become a State Alchemist. He is intent on using the resources of State Alchemists to find a way to restore what he and Alphonse have lost. The brothers eventually learn of the philosopher's stone and set off in search of it as a means of restoring their bodies.
Little do the Brothers Elric know that they are not the only people in the world searching for the stone. Humonculi, Renegade alchemists, and even the state Military continue to search for the ultimate alchemical amplifier. The latest threat of gaining the grand arcanum of the philosophers stone comes in the form of a great rebellion.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Growth of The Empire.
In this roleplay, the characters from the anime/manga will be involved, but not frequently. The story takes place in a town/village/cities across the world, and an attempt at world dominance.
In a single night, three major military operated cities are utterly dominated, and taken by force. The assailants are of varying species. Humonculi, Chimaera's, and even Golems (as seen in Fullmetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir) All of the species are under the command of one person. Who is yet, unknown. No one knows how this lone alchemist is able to control all of these soldiers, and no one can do anything to stop them.
The game will take place in a variety of places from the show, including Resembool, Central, and even Liore. The characters are from regular soldiers, to state alchemists, to citizens, and others. The story will base on how their town will defend against the onslaught. Sometimes the enemies will come in waves, sometimes there will be moments of peace. If you are an existing character, I will assign you to a specific place, and give you a specific task. If you are a new character, you will reside in the town of Setum Square. A very nice neighborhood, familiar to the Elrics' own Resembool. It is in this town we will deal with the looming threat of the enemy army, and their attempt at establishing a global empire, with possibly the greatest weapon in their possession...The Philosopher's Stone.
Rules:
1.No god-moding, which is pretty much a given.
2.Everyone will have to give a reason why they should play an existing character, and AUDITION for that part.
3.No hatin' on other people.
4.No argueing, and bad attitudes. This will result in replacement, and a forced departure.
5.Anyone's welcome to play.
6.I will reprimand players if need be. Regardless of circumstance. Please Join. My first attempt at a REAL role-playing game.
So that'd be Five people down with fullmetal.

I was wondering if I could remake my RP "X" (in Unhosted) for this area, just to keep it from falling into chaos and to make sure I can keep track of it. So, how about it Ush?
I'll give it a go.
Well, the story for X will be the same, but the rules will be:
- God-modding is acceptable (partly)
- No taking control of other characters without their and my permission
- No taking control of NPCs (Non-Player Characters)
- No altering the story's events greatly without my say
- If you do not post for 5 days, I will asume control of your character until you come back
And I will just be the NPCs. Otherwise it'd get a little hard for me to do...

Awesome.
Will the posts need to be in novel form? (ie: "X-02 crawled past the armed guard..." instead of *crawls past guard*)
((P.S. I hope it's novel form. One of the reasons the last one fell apart was because some people couldn't understand the other posts. 😬 ))
Can I make a second Deathville High thread? The RP would be set after the passage of Katrina in New Orleans. There would basically be two groups of players: a group of players whose characters stay to study in New Orleans and the 2nd group of characters who decided to go to Canada as part of an international refugee-taking program.
