Okay, this is going to be a Resident Evil based roleplay. So, if that’s sent you away so far, then don’t bother reading the rest on this idea. It’s not going to be the simple, surviving mentality, or where everyone’s going to be some secret Umbrella experiment. So, once again, if you don’t like it I’m sorry. I am just trying to make it a little more believable. I doubt Umbrella would fork over that much money for specific projects, let alone have them honed in on one location. You can have an experiment as a character, just please do your best to make it believable. Super human strength, dual Desert Eagles and the like aren’t something I’d wish to see. I’ll be in charge, and Shalimar can be as well, for a cooperative situation. Now, for the main bulk, here we go.
Setting: Linz, Austria and the northeastern section of Austria. That isn’t the boundaries though, you can go further. I just wanted to get rid of the whole ocean side scenario. It’s basically a large city, and the areas surrounding it are smaller in size.
Time Period: 2006, basically present.
Roles:
Mercenary- You choose the country, reasons and means of being in that exact place. Usually, it’s to gather research while silencing the competition. The country whom has hired you has not briefed you on what you’re going to be seeing. If your character has heard in the news then that information is granted. There is hardly that much information due to Umbrella dealing with the press. Mostly on infected people, and recorded bites.
Umbrella- You’re mission is simply to achieve a few things. Kill any who are following clues, have found viral samples, or have found out Umbrella’s closet secrets so to speak. You are as well needed to collect samples, disable various specimens, and promptly deliver the gathered information and intelligence for Umbrella.
Austria SWAT- Specialized in recovery, the only objective is recovering survivors, and handling various threats that conflict with the objective.
Operatives- Usually unknown, their reasons for being in ground zero are most likely for personal reasons, or extremely clouded circumstances.
Plot: Yes, a viral outbreak once more due to the carelessness of six lab individuals. The infection is spreading, and the military are creating various barricades. They aren’t giving chance and will shoot people on sight whom aren’t dressed in uniform. The contagions spread to the large body of water near the Brucknerhaus. It’s a concert hall named after the composer Anton Bruckner, who was born in "Ansfelden", a small town next to Linz. Fisherman then caught infected fish, selling it to shops and the like. Worse led to worse, achieving a slow outbreak, even rodents and various domestic animals captured the virus spreading it through bites. The containment broke free after medical care became swamped due to the number of victims. New ways of dissolving the threat resided in Umbrella, as they are attempting to cover their tracks. Various unknown parties may be sending in units, mercenaries to gain intelligence. Military-wise and medical achievements while gaining incriminating evidence for the downfall of Umbrella. Umbrella however is sending in their own operatives to disable means of discovery, along with containing various bio-samples. Austria is seeing too gathering survivors, and bringing them out of Linz. Let alone away from ground zero. A final action will be initiated, if the barricade about the greater part of Northeastern Austria is put into question. Though drastic, nuclear weaponry will contain the threat, and result in a clean sweep of the entire epidemic.
Umbrella Facility: Yes, the inner workings of the large Umbrella Facility stationed in Linz. A two-story building, laboratories are stationed in one section, at lower levels. Subway transportation has been granted to permit quicker exchange of various goods, along with top secret bio-materials. It’s basically the usual stationed underground workings. Fixated into the sewer system, Umbrella achieves signature efficiency as well as grueling safety precautions.
