||Dragon Riders||

Selena noticed something blur past her. She glanced at Joka as he kneeled down on the ground, ripping it out of his arm. Selena cried out, the archer took this distraction to his advantage and kicked Selena in the gut. She coughed up blood and was sent tumbling to the ground, her stomach lurching. She looked at the tip of the arrow as the archer pulled back to drive one through her skull. Galzra roared in angst and swiped his claws. The archer was gutted with a single swipe. Galzra snarled fiercely and got above Selena's body, shielding her panting figure with his scales.

Jr. nudged Galzra. "Go! Take Selena to safety and leave the fighting to me and my father!" He told them stomping his claws on an archer who was charging at them.

Galzra looked at Jr and then picked Selena up in his claws. She cried for him to stop, that she wanted to fight, but Galzra seemed to ignore her and shot from the ground right into the air. He swerved a bit from his wounded wings and made sure no arrows struck Selena. He soared through the air and to the saftey of the waterfall. He then took her by the collar of her shirt and carried her to the cave. He set her down gently, curling his body around hers. "Galzra, please... I need to help Joka and Jr. Please Galzra!" Galzra glanced at Selena with tender eyes, nuzzling her gently. "Oh Galzra... what if something happens to them?" Selena began to cry softly as Galzra spread his wings over her, they were bleeding and hurt him badly but he wanted to protect her.

Selena's head shot up, as did Galzra's. "JOKA!!!!!!!!" Selena's cry split through the roar of the waterfall and into the forest. She felt weak and rushed towards the water. Galzra knew he could not stop her now. He roared and then bent down so she could get upon his back. Selena swung her leg over Galzra's broad shoulders and was thrown into the air as they slammed through the waterfall. Galzra spotted the archers and a roar errupted from his jaws. He sprayed the liquid from the gas pockets in his jaws and fire jolted from his mouth, buring the archers alive. He slammed upon the ground, knocking the head off of the remaining archer as the others retreated. Selena quickly dismounted her dragon and ordered, "Galzra follow them! We cant have any left alive!" Galzra nodded and took off as Selena rushed to Joka's aid. "Joka!"

Joka looked up at Selena, he couldn't move. He had an arrow in his chest, one in each leg and one in his left arm. "Selena... You're okay." He whispered, leaning forward to reveal an arrow in his back. Joka got up shakily. and managed to stumble forward a few steps before falling back to the ground.

Selena cried out in horror and rushed towards Joka. She caught him before he could hit the ground. Her strong arms holding him protectively as she carefully removed each arrow. She winced at the sight of his blood and moved the hair out of his face carefully. "Oh Joka, are you insane?" She whispered gently, her fingers caressed his cheek gently as a tear fell from her eye. "Please, Joka... please stay with us..." She could hear screams come from the distance, an obvious sign that Galzra had killed the remaining archers. She ignored their cries and took a deep breath. Gently placing her hand on the would upon his chest she forced all her strength into her healing abilities. Her hand glowed and touched the damaged skin. Slowly it began to heal. She tucked her hand under him to heal his back and then touched each one of his legs and his arm, doing the same for each wound. By the time Selena had healed all the wounds completely, she was exhausted. She panted and sweat trickled from her forhead. "I dont want to lose you." She heard Galzra approach behind her, his eyes studying the scene before turning away, unable to bear watching the two of them.

Joka's eye's opened and he looked up at Selena. "Selena... Are you alright?" He sighed.

Selena smiled and sniffled, wiping away her tears. "Yes, I'm fine." She began to cry softly, thankful he was alright. "I'm so glad you're safe..." She wrapped her arms around him and held him tightly.

Galzra turned back, smoke blowing from his nostrils, a sign that he was relieved. He glanced at Jr and curled his lips into a smile.

Jr. sighed and lied down next to them. He nuzzled Selena. "Thank you for saving my father." He said, resting his head in his next to them.

Galzra gazed at them with shining eyes. His nose nuzzled against Joka and then to Selena, pushing them a bit closer together. He then gazed at them with his neck arched gently.

Selena smiled at Jr and removed a hand from the hug to pat his nose. "You're welcome, Jr. I would have mourned as you would if he left." She hugged Joka once more, afraid to let him go. "You gave me such a scare..."

Selena smiled at Joka and felt her cheeks redden. She leaned towards him and kissed him lightly on his forhead. "I think that I love you as well, Joka." Galzra ruffled his wings, playfully nipping at Joka's hair, he snorted, pretending to be jealous and growling in laughter.

Jr. stood up and stretched. "Father will be fine." He said to himself feeling very relieved. He sat down and watched over them, smiling.

Selena smiled and held him in her arms for a bit longer, resting her head on his. "Glad to hear it." She giggled and nuzzled him playfully, gazing at him through her emerald eyes.

Joka laid his head back. He closed his eyes and sighed. "Can we just rest for a moment? Just for a little while before we go back to the camp." He said, sounding exhausted. He looked over at Jr. and smiled. "I just want to wait until i regain the feeling in my feet." He joked, quietly.

Selena blushed at his compliment. She nuzzled him gently and giggled. "Yes, we can rest. We defeated like 50 archers, I think we deserve it." Galzra wrapped his tail around them, snorting at Jr a bit with a smile. He rustled his wings to provide Jr. with some room as well, knowing he'd want to protect Joka. Selena closed her eyes and laid down by Joka, her mind still a bit cloudy from using magic.
