I don't get it when people say Tiger will beat a lion. This is my analysis:
Tiger- Hunter, that's it's sole purpose may it be male/female. As a hunter, It avoids injury. To be injured, mean starvation and that can lead to even death! Tigers fight for terroritories but not something uncalled for. Style of killing: A straight jab into the neck, Instant Kill.
Lions(Male): Fighters/Protectors of their pride. They don't hunt. They laze around, screw the females but most of all. They protect their terrotories and Pride from other Lions, sometimes Rhinos. And when huntings are bad they come into the picture to bring down a King Buffulo. Injury is not really their worry, cos the females feed them. Style of killing: Bite onto the nose , go in for suffocation.
A confrontation betw a Tiger and Lion may end up like this. The Tiger might not want a fight but the Lion does not mind. But if there is no choice for the tiger, the fights on! But advantage goes to the Lion. Why the Mane. It protects the Lion from the Tiger's finishing move the Throat Jab. The Lion on the other hand, fighting other lions b4, can do damage beyond the mane. Here the Maneless Tiger has a big disadvantage.
