No. I have a strong feeling the Democrats will steer away from social issues. The party must play to its moderate side if they want to win in 08. Dems won't destroy the constitution, but gay marriage and other social issues will be left to the courts.
No American administration that has made social issues a priority has done well. Overtime bigots will wake up and die off and the young people of this country that actually understand what the phrase "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" means.
