Alright, this is probablt off topic from what you people are talking about, but I was told this should go in here, so here goes:

Can someone explain how this thing works for the xbox 360, I am thinking of getting one, but with a Canadian price of $130, I kind of want to know more about it before I buy it...

It is an Xbox Live Wireless Network Adapter.

Some questions just to clear things up for me:

1. What EXACTLY does it do?

2. How do you use it?

3. And anything else important you can tell me!

It simply allows you to connect to xbox live via a wireless internet connection.

As far as how you use it, I believe you just plug it into the back.

If you have a wireless internet connection it's a good buy, if not, just use the wire that came with your 360.

yeah ive been thinking about getting it but my wireless goes down all the time. its not my internet, its my wireless router and its really frustrating.

I was gonna buy the Wireless Adapter but decided it was too expensive becuase I needed the Wireless Router. So the cheapest and best solution was to buy the Linksys Wireless Router (WRT54G) and the Linksys Gaming Adapter (WGA54G) or you could also use the old XBOX 1 Adaptor. Remember this very important rule... if you decide not to go with the XBOX 360 Wireless Adapter then make sure the wireless adapter you buy is a Wireless Bridge because XBOX 360 only accepts a Wireless bridge.

I live in Toronto, Canada so for me it was around $180 in total as opposed to $220-$250

Linksys Wireless Router (WRT54G): $69.99
Linksys Gaming Adapter (WGA54G):$79.99 -- only the adaptor was on special $10 cheaper but still a good deal.

How do you know if it is a wireless adapter, not too familiar with this and the cable won't reach 😮

Oh, and would it connect with other 360's that may be in your house? I have heard that too...

You have to buy an wireless adapter for your XBOX 360. It's rectangular with a little antenna sticking out. You just plug it in an USB slot.

Then from your internet connection, through an wireless router, then you can play.

If the XBOX's are hooked up with an wireless router, then yes, they could also connect to it. You just have to use the network that shows on the XBOX Screen.

Mine is so small, I also have a USB stick sized wireless router, also just as powerful, but only works for technology with a usb stick slot.

I hardly use online 😛 You could have mine seeing as I don't use it for gaming, but I use it for my laptop and PC, so forget it 🙂

I have that wireless router, it isn't THAT, big the picture is just close up. The wireless gaming adapter is ridiculously expensive to.
