Check out the chimp -vs-human 'boxing' matches held during late 19th century US and Europe. The chimps never lost. Why? Because the average chimp is 7-8 times stronger than an adult human male!

Messing with a chimp is getting yourself killed the hard way (the normally attack the face and genitalia).
Last year some guy was ripped apart (he didn't die, but his face was bitten and his arm ripped off .....not torn off, ripped off) by 2 chimps after they became jealous (he was giving a third chimp a cake for its birthday). It was all over the news.
Anyways, you could put the strongest human alive against your average adult chimpanzee, and the guy would be torn apart.
