The coolest thing....

i am at work now. a minute ago, i saw some toy lightsabers flashing outside. i went out to see and there were a couple of 11 year olds, brother and sister, fighting with them. the girl had one blue saber and the boy had two red ones. the boy would come at her swinging all crazy and the girl was parrying all his attacks and hitting him in the butt every time. then, when he came at her again, she knocked both lightsabers out of his hand, spun closer to him and ended with the saber at his throat!!! they were just playing, of course, but i asked the mom where the little girl learned to do that. it turns out the girl has taken fencing lessons for 4 years. man, the way she handled that saber, i would hate to see what she can do with a fencing foil!!! 😆

She should duel Anakin, I bet he'd still lose because an 11 year old girl got the high ground.

she was so damn fast!!! all i saw was a blue blur, then two red sabers clattering on the ground.

it turns out that they are a star wars family. the mother was dueling with the girl a few minutes ago and they did things that amazed me. it turns out that the mother took fencing lessons for most of her life, at least until after she got married. she and the daughter were pretty damn impressive with those toy sabers.

This is why I've been wanting to learn how to fence.
