Why does it take so long for Yoda to push things?

Why does it take so long for Yoda to push things?

Like in episode two it took him like a minute to push that column that was going to crush obi-wan and anakin...
and in episode tree ( which i am watching right now which was the inspiration for this thread) when palpatine threw one of those pod things at him he had to twist it around..... I just didn't really get it.

Because of two reasons:

1) He is old.

2) Those "things" are ****in heavy.

But you see palpatine throwing the pods around like its nothing.

And I thought with age come power...
well it goes in AOTC Yoda says " even the older ones( referecing jedi) more experienced they are.

He didn't "have" to twist it around, he just thought that would add to the effect. And it did, when you think about it.

Take air-hockey for an example. You can just hit the puck, and it flies and such, right? But, if you get the puck spinning really fast and THEN smack it, it will fly a lot faster and be a lot harder to block. The same principal, more or less, applies here.

As for during the battle with Dooku, Dooku just threw it down and Yoda presumably was going against Dookue's force abilities.

Good reasons there.

In response to the thread title alone, I blame lack of fiber.

Well when Sidious threw the pods they seemed to have more of an effect than Yoda's.

And I I'm not sure he was fighting Dooku's power. Dooku was in space when it showed Yoda pushing it.

1.) Don't be a Yoda Fanboy
2.) Don't let your biased opinion stand in the way of reason.

Simple.

Sidious had the higher ground, and was above Yoda. Gravity has laws. Sidious just chucked it downward, whereas Yoda had to stop them and toss them back. It was easier for Sidious to do; though I won't deny or dismiss that Sidious was powerful enough to rip three or four out at a time.

But Yoda had to catch it and spin it back up.

It's a shame every little detail is torn to shreds without consideration of the laws of reasoning and physics.

Physics suck.

jollyjim311 is now bieng lifted by gravity and is taken to hell. Gravity laughs sweet revenge.

*Waves fist twords the heavens in disbelief and defience.*

gravity angerly shouts the words of the devil: " You mother****in piece of ****. you ******. *****************************************************************************************************************************************you!"

jollyjim311 screams in pain.

I think I scream more because I am shocked that Hell is above me.

Oh yeah, and because a I am being spanked.

I'll get the paddle.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. i hate the paddle

family guy is on.

High ground seems to be the key to both final duels in episode 3...

When anakin leaps from below he is defeated. As is yoda when tries to jump after sidious.

So high ground = victory
