Pointless underwear argument!

I just got back from Target...needless to say I bout some bare necessities...underwear being one of them.

I'm having a sort of argument/discussion with my roommate over the difference between briefs and Tighty Whities

I say theres a difference between the two..he doesnt see the difference.

I ask you..is there a difference between Tighty Whities and briefs?

Tighty-whities are just that, tight overtly so, to keep the boys in check.
Briefs can be tight, but don't always, and they can also be longer lengths and not speedo style.
