Not the torturer will scare me,
nor the body's final fall,
nor the barrels of death's rifles,
nor the shadows on the wall,
nor the night when to the ground the last dim star of pain, is hurled but the blind indifference of a merciless, unfeeling world.
Roger Waters
I hate the kind of people who think this applies to them when it doesn't. This replaced a singing German shepard if recall?
Durn good bit o' poetry, gotta admit.
😐
I don't "fight." There are more artful ways to hurt people.
I am what one calls a "weird kid." Sometimes in lunch when my friends' table is full or nonexistant I will sit at a table of 7th graders and
a) dance
b) say "greetings" (which I think they think is Elvish)
c) try and convince them that I'm God.
They will respond in one of four ways:
a) worship me (it happens)
b) swear at me
c) throw themselves upon my mercy, begging that I please, don't say "greetings" (it happens!)
d) laugh their heads off under the safe delusion that I don't live a more fulfilling life than them
Felt the need to share.
