Now, fizzy cola bottles, when they are relatively fresh, are really quite sticky.
So, when you are bagging them, often one will not come out of the tongs properly, and will flick back into the tray, messing up the count completely.
Today, this happened, several times.
Near the end of one bag, I picked up two fizzy cola bottles together, and put them in, but one flicked back out of the bag.
So I just picked up another one with the tongs, put in the bag, zipped the bag up.
Went to pick up another bag.
Stopped.
I actually felt broken-hearted. I couldn't believe what I had done. I separated those two fizzy cola bottles. What if they were in love? What if they were destined to be? What if they actually secretly had thoughts and feelings?
Well, that's worrying. 😐
I picked up the bag, and took one of the fizzy cola bottles out.
I put in the specific one which had originally flicked out.
Then I zipped up the bag.
I took a long time choosing which one to take out of the bag. How can I be sure that I didn't remove the very fizzy cola bottle I was trying to reunite with the love of its life?
I can't.
And that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
