Based in the town of Västerås, Sweden, Zavod is a band of four. Konstantin, with his cruel, raw vocals, Peter, a skilled guitarist with his background and heart in groovy rhythms, Johan, the bass and keyboard programmer who always take a zavod song to higher levels and Tomas, the drummer, the machine in the Zavod factory. The band was formed in November 2005, when Konstantin, Peter and Tomas decided to start a new band. These three guys had been playing death/thrash metal together since 2002, but after growing tired of that genre of metal, they finally understood what kind of music they really wanted to play. Then, sometime in October 2005, Tomas brother Johan stepped up and offered the guys to record the song "Roll the Dice" in his studio. Johan had recorded the guys earlier and they all knew they got along great. Johan was also a really skilled musician and the band found his devotion to synth, rock and industrial music really interesting. Roll the dice, the only song from the Death/Thrash era of the three guys history together, was the first one to be recorded as a Zavod track, and after listening to it together, they all knew that this is something they have to do. More songs were immediatly written and the band continued to record and write throughout the winter and spring. Who knows what the future holds for Zavod, but rest assured, this four-piece have only just begun..
