you seem to work in a office like enviroment. Got a question. How do you deal with a slow employee. She is just slow at work and the person takes a very leasurly attitude toward everything. WHile everyone else is running around and busting their as* to make deadlines. I was thinking about sitting her down and comparing how fast the avg person does work and how fast she does it and then ask her how she can improve all in a positive way. What do you think?
Lalalalala......
The Music/Daydream
Staring at the face of disaster
I just, sing a tune
Daydreaming......
Watching the flowers bloom
The music, like a puppeteer
Controlling how I go through life.
Sitting here, writing my lyrics
You saved me.
Daydreaming, falling asleep with the flowers
Even for a good minute
Daydreaming with the music
Watching the clouds turn into notes
The music, the daydream
Standing on the plains
With my songbook in hand
The music, the daydream.......

Seen that before for sure.
First off, do you work in a unionized environment? If so, that makes it tricky.
If not, then I think your idea of sitting down and talking to her about it in a non agressive manner certainly sounds like a good idea. Comparing her to others though may make her somewhat bitter to the others to whom you compare her. Asking HER for her input on how she thinks she can improve it definitely empowers and gives her a chance to take charge and change the situation.
Hope that helps.
