This actually reminds me of last year's ending of the Eredivisie here in Holland. AZ, Ajax and PSV were all leading the competition with the same amount of points. AZ was first on goal average, Ajax 2nd and PSV 3rd. So, what happens first on the last day of season is Ajax winning 2-1, which means they're as good as out of the title race. PSV wins with 5-1 taking the 4 goal difference they had to make. All AZ had to do was dispose of bottom-table side Excelsior. They showed this guy who already had 'AZ Champions *Date (* don't remember what day it was)' tattooed on his leg. Needless to say AZ lost and PSV took the title... again.
