On Wednesday evening (November 12) MTV hosted its MTVU Woodie Awards 2008 in New York. The awards are voted for by students in the US and are tagged as the "definitive college music awards".

Jimmy Page has confirmed reports that if himself, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham are to tour with a vocalist who is not Robert Plant, they will not be using the name Led Zeppelin.
He made the announcement to Rolling Stone through a spokesperson who revealed that it is likely that the three musicians will recruit a new vocalist and tour at some point in the near future. The favourite to rock the microphone with these three guys remains Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy although as has been reported, they have also jammed with Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.
