'Arizona Desert' by Johnny Marr. "I like to go there and make myself feel small," explains the singer. "It's better for me than sitting in the suburbs taking drugs, which is what I used to do. Once I was out there for ten days, and didn't speak. It does interesting things to the mind."

'Psychology Test' by Muse's Matt Bellamy. The singer drew the picture as part of a psychological test which his girlfriend, a professional psychologist, often sets her patients. Bellamy explains: "You ask someone to visualize a desert, a cube, some stairs, a glass and a horse. The person builds up a mental picture. Afterwards the psychologist can describe what's wrong with that person."
