Who cares, kids die in africa every day, each one of them doesn't get huge media attention and turned into a worldwide tradgedy, why should this one, just because they're from the West?
I'm sure if girls are murdered in Africa the police investigate and it's covered in the news (most likely not in the rural parts though)
And we know kids die there everyday, it is viewed as a world wide tradegy as almost every country has one charity or another giving aid to the helpless in Africa, and no matter where you are we get bombarded with how terrible the conditions are by the media. More people know about the suffering in Africa than the little girl was murdered.

I don't care about either, though, so I'm not arguing my point nay more since most people aren't going to get it anyway.
