A number of ravers were were blinded by lasers on July 5, when the lighting system at an outdoor event went haywire. The accident happened at the Aquamarine Open Air Festival in Kirzhach, Russia. The laser display, meant to illuminate the sky, was instead reflected by the tent's canopy into the ravers' eyes. Some dancers lost 80% of their vision.
