Maybe. There's no way we could actually say. If we're destroying the planet, other species and ourselves, we're hardly a productive species are we? In the end it doesn't really matter though, since whatever we do doesn't really have any bearing on anything, since we're just one planet, etc.

I don't really know what to think, I have lots of opinions on how humans work and what's best for us
