You might as well look at my location. Don't see what that has to do with this discussion though. Yes, but calling the music rap is stupid. You don't call Oasis a sing-band do you?
but thats just me

cause 'rap' is really as american as apple pie when you get right down to it and i dont see how a dood from/in the Netherlands can act like such an expert on something purely 'made in america'but thats just me
Doesn't really matter where you're from as long as you do the research and have the knowledge, etc.

You don't get hiphop then. Granted, lyrics and delivery are more important than in other genres, but definitely not all-important as you say.

I'm not the one who invented it. Public Enemy frequently called their music rap music, even in their lyrics. "Rap is not afraid of you", etc.

I've been studying music for about 10 years now, I think I'm fairly knowledgeable about hiphop. Obviously more than you, at least.

What a ****ing idiot. There are Americans who claim (and actually have degrees etc.) to be experts on Egyptian history, aren't there? There are Chinese people who claim to be experts on Renaissance art, aren't there?I've been studying music for about 10 years now, I think I'm fairly knowledgeable about hiphop.
