Took it to the joint called Game Warehouse. They do repairs like this.Pretty sure I got ripped off, though. Don't care, as long as they fix it. Otherwise I'm getting my money back and taking my xbox back.
I took my ps2 to one of those places to get repaired, wasnt reading the disc
charged me 25 bucks, after i found out what they did i just did it myself... mainly because i had to since they closed a month later

I have such a problem with my PS2. How do you fix that shit?
You take it apart, carefully
take all the screws off, (on the bottom of it there should be a total of 8? some hidden under the plastic)
make sure you keep them in the right place because they arent all the same size screw. After you open the ps2 there is another thing you have to unscrew, these ones are A LOT smaller.
Then you get a Qtip and alcohol, dont soak it but you know.
clean the lens, sometimes it doesnt work so you have to get someone to help you lift that top lens off to clean the bigger lense under it
but thats if the only problem your having is dust... of course..
