Also, we don't know why he is wearing a cross. To be hypocritical, he would have to be wearing it to imply that he believes in something that he doesn't really believe in. If he's just wearing it because he thinks its a pretty, shiny thing, that's his prerogative, and there's nothing hypocritical about it (regardless of how he feels about religion and/or organized religion).
