Our family has a business that makes software for the readymix concrete industry. I work in it, which means I do most things from software development, project management, sales, etc. to some degree. How did you become a software developer? What stack do you use? What kind of programs do you make?
You still have to answer all of these....or else!!

That's awesome though what languages do you know?
I went to school for Computer Science, then landed a job as a software developer. I spent 2 years writing automation testing in Ruby to test web based applications for a large insurance company.
I've currently been working on a web application as a developer for the past 8 months building both back and front end services as well screens. The application is for online education.

Or else you will have made a very powerless enemy!!!!!
I'm most knowledgable in Python. I've done some work with Objective-C, JavaScript. PHP and C#.
Oh that's awesome, what sort of online education? General purpose platform or something specific? How big of a team do you work in?

It's called a learning management system. So it is used by schools to help organize there activities and allows teachers to provide content to their students.
I work on a dev team of about 30 people.

Oh, I've just started a new company with some people who brought in a project that's written in Groovy. I have no experience with it though, but I might be hiring a Groovy programmer soon for that new endeavour. How do you like Groovy?
30 Devs, that's a big team, how do you like working at your job? Are you satisfied? Do you ever do your own projects?
