I deployed in 2011, and as an NCO got my own "room" (a converted shipping container, 5 to a row). I was in the second to last one.
In the last one, my neighbor played some video game, a call of duty type thing, at full blast, no headphones, that featured incoming mortar fire...in an environment where we had to worry about incoming mortar fire.
After about a half dozen times of waking up in a panic, thinking we were under attack, asking him to stop it and getting no courtesy, i BOUGHT the guy headphones, nocked on his door and gave them to him. After punching him in the chest.
