We found a pressure sore on our daughter today, underneath the cast on her lower spine/top of the butt. It's actually an old sore from last month that re-opened thanks to the new cast. We try to rotate her and prop her up in different directions during the day to prevent bed sores, but they can still happen.
Emergency trip to Las Vegas (hour+ drive, each way) for a cast trim and cleaning of the wound. Luckily they also gave us a strong prescription for pain to last until she starts feeling better.
