I went from a Kanye hater to a mild fan (i.e. I like Yeezus and about half of MDBTF and I think he's funny) so quickly, I think other people could be converted

He's an alright chap, I reckon at least half of his schtick is a self created persona designed to create controversy and make him more famous. If so, he's done well!
