In a slummy part of Durham, North Carolina; a homicide at a nearby fast-food restaurant preceded my mother falling into labor on April 18th, then I was born around 8 AM during the burning of Waco.

Durham Bulls are my favorite minor league baseball team. Go figure

I've always perceived things differently than other people, I've never been on the same page with everyone.

But I've experienced the best of the social world, I've conversed/befriended/gathered/worked/been through rehab/participated in sports with just about every kind of person you can imagine.

I'm not a virgin but I wouldn't say I've made love, and I've tossled with people when I was younger but I wouldn't call those full-on fights. I haven't really found out some things about myself.

I do know I changed early on, judging from my behavioral tendencies as a rebellious yet socially adept child, perhaps that's for the best. But how can I reach my full potential without experiencing that side of me?

I remember watching the Waco stuff on the news in 93
