Originally posted by Quincywell they could only play 3 songs, and they played an awesome show a couple days before which had an amazing setlist! including a whole bunch of their first album 39/smooth, and some songs that hadn't been played in 20+ years or ever!
What would you have wished was their induction set, Welsh?
so for the 3 songs i think what they played was fine, American Idiot and Basket Case were really dead certs to be played and their great representations of their two most successful albums, when i come around could have been changed for something else i guess, Good Riddance perhaps? 21 guns? the biggest songs form Nimrod and 21st Century Breakdown respectively.
personally i would have loved if they performed Jesus of Suburbia, Homecoming and Dirty Rotten Bastards. but for a quick 3 song set they really nailed it. i've only seen not so great phone recordings of the performance and HBO won't air the ceremony until may 30th so
