Christian Bale was famous, but Batman kind of solidified him as a star, made him even more famous, same with Keaton. Affleck is already super established as an actor in multiple genres, and has been about since the early 90s. I'm sure he'll do a good job, but I won't see him as Batman, I'll just see him as Ben Affleck playing Batman

Michael Keaton was already Beetlejuice

I remember watching the Keaton batman in the theater

Plus that one had Jack N and Kim Bassinger

Also Keaton had done other films before Batman

So did Bale- he was American Psycho among other great roles before that
