Depression was always the new black, which makes it the old black. Problem is so many people do actually seem to want to be 'depressed' – when I was 15 I was like "mental illness is cool, I wanna be depressed and have bipolar and have OCD" and now that I'm older and have actually suffered depression and now have some undefined stupid condition that I should be taking meds for (but don't any more) I realise how dumb I was, and how mental illnesses are actually really ****ing serious and can seriously hold people back in life
From what you've said, you've had it pretty rough in life, but I'm always uneasy about discussing 'levels' of pain, if you get what I mean, since it's relative. I've had my own problems in life, but I can recognise that other people have had it much worse without debasing my own issues. Hopefully that makes sense

honestly life would be more boring without the physical onesmore fun without the mental

I cant walk around shirtless without getting looked at, I am fine with it but I can never wear shorts.
when I wear boardies ( board shorts, swimming trunks) then that is when people really stare
Originally posted by Genesis-SoldierMy legs are untouched, but I still don't ever wear shorts around people. I don't know why, probs just some element of anxiety

Society would be better if people could more freely discuss their problems. Although, to be honest, I'd still keep 85% of it inside. Unless I was drunk.
mate, girls.
they are good with this stuff because they have someone close to them where they can tell them ANYTHING. we may see it as general prattle but really its a good method of not keeping things bottles up and destroying you.
they know what they are doing
