So I found out one of my friends has been missing since last Wednesday.

He's 40 and has struggled with depression. So worried. I don't feel like it's gonna be a good ending to this. I hope he is safe and well but just so out of character for him to disappear that I just feel the worst

So upset. I went and put posters up in my pub cause quite a few know him there

I always see those 'missing people' things on fb and share them buts it's never been anyone I know or anyone even a friend knows..

Have the authorities been contacted yet? Is there a search party?

Yeah police are now involved. The family just had it as a local thing between friends and family thinking he'd just gone partying or something but once it got to a few days they realised it was serious and contacted police and the missing persons organisation.

Friends are out searching his usual haunts and any leads we get are followed up with searches.

It's being spread all over Facebook. Think the poster they put up today has been shared around 800 times already which is good

The last conversation I had with him he was telling me about how his head was ****ed up and he'd been struggling with depression and stuff but seemed like he was getting on top of it with help and dealing with it.

He just turned 40 this month so I don't know if that affected him. Milestone and all that.
