I think the offending of the American and Australian is better attributed to how easily they're offended than my style.

I guess in that respect KMC still is a mirror to society. People just looking for things to be offended by. At least we learned an Aussie can in fact not be asked anything.

And Riv's posting style is very reminiscent of RJ's, I can't be the first one to notice.

Yes, but Time Immemorial cares about politics and extensively discusses it in the GDF. RJ was one of the few stupid Americans who refrained from commenting on politics, which is extremely rare to say the least.
