Hey have some respect for the representative of California

American Idiot destroyed pop punk iirc. It's a story about a kid growing up without his dad. Cute at first, and I'll be honest (when you have dead relatives, you'll understand), but it really was the be all end all of a movement that should have died long before 2004.

Also, some songs on American Idiot (She's a rebel DX) are terrible. Ironically, most bands afterwards copied the shit from American Idiot.
