I love winter because there are no slugs and flies around

That's a good point. There's loads of slugs when it rains though. They all come out. And snails. And then I always step on them when it's dark and I feel very bad and have to squish them even more to make sure they're dead.

The movies are all steaming piles of crap.

But the 7th book is supposed to come out next year! droolio

This is very terrible of me but I haven't read the books 😮 At the time I wasn't much of a reader and because I saw the first film without reading the books I'm doing the same for all of them. Mostly because I like watching films not knowing the story. But I shall read the books when I've seen all the films (which will be years I know) even though that means I'm reading a book when knowing what happens but oh well.

Edit:

Think I'll read the Farseer trilogy instead (which I have read about 8 times and it never gets old)

It seems that all the people who love the movies have never read the books. It's a crime and a shame. I love the books and hate the movies because I read the books first. It all depends on what you see/hear/read first. ✅

ok... back to my question -- is there a harry potter movie coming out this yr or not?

I do that with bugs if I stand on them by accident but not with slug, worms and snails cos the really freak me out. The bugs that come in my room through my window aren't that bad but if a slug turned up I wouldn't sleep easy.

Well, you should. The movies fail. I mean, with a lot of movies, they'll tell you the books are a lot better, but the movies are better assuming you're the sort of idiot who watches movies but doesn't read books. But with Harry Potter, the books are light reads capable of being read front to back by even that kind of idiot, and the movies are just so ridiculously boring and contain about a third of the plot-relevant parts of the books, and none of the good parts (none of which are plot-relevant).

The first three are good, but 4, 5, and 6 are when they really live up to the hype they had given themselves.

Yeah, but if you see the movies, then read the books, I don't think you would still like the movies more. You might still have appreciation for them, but you'd realize that the good parts of the books are all the parts that didn't make the movies. The details, that is.

Some stuff doesn't bother me, like sponge cakes. But if a pizza has a squishy base i can't eat it, and I love pizza.
