thats the mil page yep

Also, this is how the conversation should go.

"I thought you said you were Dutch?"

"I am."

"How come you couldn't understand what I was saying?"

"I was born in America, but I am Dutch."

So, you'd say to him "No, you're American with Dutch Heritage"

Then, it would spark the argument we are currently having.

I'm calm now..

So, only your experiences? Okay, yup. Only 2 examples and both of them are personal experiences, one of them being your girlfriend, and the other being you.

Ask your italian grandmother if she'd be offended.

What? So you're actually saying that me and those Irish people my gf is talking about are the only people that feel this way? Bardock has also said he feels the same way. Why is it so hard to believe that a lot of Europeans feel the same way as me? Are you being willfully ignorant or just really, really thick?

My Italian grandfather. He doesn't speak English though, so you'd actually have to learn the language of the people you claim to be of to tell him that you think you're Italian. And although he'd probably respect the fact that you took the effort to learn Italian, he still wouldn't agree that you're Italian. Just because you know, factually, you're not.

w00t

Yeah, and... (not trying to bring you into it, but you did say it)

Piggie defended me and you still got upset, maybe you guys are the minority. How come no one else has gotten offended. Girlfriends I've had from all over the world, friends I've made, people I've talked to, no one has ever gotten as offended as you are right now.

i completely agree with jman

Nah I've been edging for over an hour 131
Just finally carried on over that barrier droolio

I think I'm ready to sleep now herbdoped

What does make someone Italian then? Being born in Italy? Having an Italian accent and knowledge at birth?

I don't think there are as many Americans that feel the same way as you think there are.

From what I can recall any time I've had a conversation with an American that was remotely like that thing you imagined, they could see where I was coming from and accepted my correction/logic. Most of the times they didn't even mean to say they were actually Dutch, it was just a routine reaction, because, like we've established, it's ok to say that to fellow Americans.

So what you are actually saying is that out of 7 billion people on this planet, me, Bardock and a couple of Irish people are the only ones to have a certain opinion? You think that if you went to Italy, telling Italian people that you're one of them, none of them would take issue with that, none of them would correct you?

Also, I'm not nearly as offended as you want to think I am. I'm just flabbergasted by your ridiculous point of view and expressing my disagreement with it.

Piggle actually said she agreed with me, she just didn't think your mistake warranted my outrage.

i am kinda with JMAN on this

i am dutch- born in america and doesnt speak a lick of dutch = I have dutch heritage

i was born in prague, mived to australia at age 2 and cant speak dutch = i am dutch

i think this is more a generation and or ancestory thing

Ok, look. I do apologize if I offended you, but getting upset over something so small and insignifcant as someone saying they're Italian, when they are actually American with Italian Heritage, is kinda silly.

There's no reason to be angry.
