What is that from
Originally posted by walshyWell it was someone on the job of the roll wrap, where they wrap up the rolls of paper before they send them out, at the very end there's this machine that heats up and compresses both sides of the paper to stick these headers to it to protect it during shipping but the roll was too big so the guy tried to hold it in there and close it well I guess his hand was in the way and it compressed it too. It didn't bleed or anything from what I heard but it was pretty swollen.
Jeez D: what happened
I was upstairs waiting for my monthly safety training test when it happened, my supervisor was like "YEAH WE CAN'T DO IT RIGHT NOW SOMEONE JUST GOT THEIR HAND CRUSHED" I was like "Is he okay?" "Um...no?" like whoops I should have realized that lmao.
Originally posted by walshyEveryone says this xD, trust it's the first thing on my mind, I'm just enduring cause of the money, as long as my luck holds out I should be okay. I'm only temporary atm thank goodness, but I think they've been talking about hiring me permanently but no lol.

It definitely is ._., like I said I think they want to hire me permanently but I really want to leave yet have trouble saying no in situations like this -_-. I want to move on though and get started with what I want in life though so, if it comes down to it I will.
I don't know if he can sue though xD, people get injured all the time here and there have been multiple fatalities. They used to be able to work you 20 hours straight but I guess some ladies husband wrecked coming home from being too tired and she started a movement that put a stop to it so most you're supposed to be able to work is 16 hours. I would have thought his hand would have bled but I assume the heat probably cauterized the wound itself, that's how a lot of the injuries around here go even if the machine doesn't heat up, just from the amount of friction from where these machines move so fast if it catches a limb or anything it'll just tear it off, grind it down and like be so hot that the person usually doesn't bleed, and that's even if they're trying to shut the machine down ._.
