That seems like an unfounded claim. Perhaps you confuse Telegram with VKontakte. At any rate, the clients are open source so you can just look what's going on.

Not that I use apps like that, I have no desire to speak to people on the go, and when I do, I either text them if they're in the country or just wait until I get home and go on Facebook. Sometimes I access Facebook on my phone, but not through the messenger app.

I heard something about Facebook being able to track you all the time through the messenger app, and that made me somewhat uncomfortable.

I have the house to myself! On like the one day I have to go to town to get my phone fixed uhuh So no party for one for me

I honestly don't really care about not having a working phone, but it does come in handy every now and then.
