In all honesty, I don't mind them so much these days. Attack of the Clones is undoubtedly the worst, Revenge of the Sith seems to delve into self-parody at times, and overall they were handled badly, but I rewatched Phantom Menace a few months ago and was surprised at how actually alright it is. Yeah it's got some glaringly bad bits (podracing, young Anakin in general, midichlorians etc.) but a lot of it is actually quite good. It's like an interesting, low-key political thriller, but with laser swords and racist ethnic stereotypes.

What Lucas has done to the original trilogy over the years is so much worse than anything in the prequels. So glad I have the original theatrical releases as bonus features on my OT special edition collection, they removed them from subsequent releases.

Well, I feel for her brev. She did live in Europe, without any of her family and that close-by, most of her friends had left already and she did stay here longer than she planned to because of our relationship. I guess she just stayed out her contract at her job before she left to go back to the US. I guess it's easy to let resentments fester over time when you're alone and unhappy and I am partially to blame for that.

I didn't get to tell my ex how badly he hurt me til about a year after. And in that time all I thought about was everything he did and all the stuff I wanted to say to him.

Yeah, that makes sense. Closure is pretty important to a lot of people, I guess it must have been banging about her head for ages and she just needed to let it out. I can relate to that.
