I'm so overdue a playthrough of FF8 or 9 by now, went through 7 in a couple of days a couple of years ago and it was awesome. Only died four times in total, three times against Lost Number (fought it as soon as I got to Nibelheim) and once when training on Wutai island against those ****ing birds that use thunder over and over again, it was sheer laziness 'cause I was trying to level up quickly.

Admittedly I did the mega elixir trick with those pot things in the crater, so I was nicely stocked for the final boss fights, but still.

I didn't like the twist when I first watched it. But I appreciate it more now. It's still shaky early on, and I don't buy all of it, but it's still alright. And yeah, Leo always crushes it
