How is one "forced" to watch said movie?

They held her down and kept playing it even though she said no numerous times. The court case is pending.

My teeth hurt

I think I might get a few beers as a portent to the whiskey I'll consume later

Woop, this Werner Herzog collection is immaculate

Yawn

What collection?

It's just called The Werner Herzog Collection, it's not at all complete but it has a nice selection of films, starting with his short films in the late '60s, the last chronological film being Cobra Verde. It has Aguirre and Fitzacarraldo in it, obviously

May as well just send you a link to it

Yeah, I saw that. Do you have it?

I do indeed, I'm watching Last Words at the moment

Cool. I generally don't buy those kind of box sets. I like Criterion's Eclipse series, they have some great box sets in general. Currently I'm contemplating the Battles Without Honour or Humanity one and Criterion's The Adventures of Antoine Doinel box.

Although I have the DVD version, not the Blu-Ray

That Herzog set is very cheap though for what's offered.

You should look into some of Criterion's Eclipse series. They're DVD, not Bluray, but they have some great stuff.

I'd consider buying Criterion's Zatoichi set for the design alone, but at the same time it's ridiculously expensive and I don't think I'll ever watch all 25 films.

Ahh those Criterion boxsets look cool, I'd quite like the Carlos Saura Flamenco Trilogy one. Saw Carmen last year and loved it

I generally don't buy boxsets either tbh but this one has a pretty good selection, a decent primer on Herzog's most famous stuff.

And yeah, definitely worth it for the price

The Eclipse ones are pretty affordable as well, especially during the sales. I have Aki Kaurismäki's Leningrad Cowboys set and the Pearls of the Czech New Wave set.

The Eclipse series have some with Kurosawa and Ozu's lesser known and earlier works. Even some of Ozu's silent films.

I should get my mum the Early Fassbinder one for Christmas or something
