Her esophagus is extremely raw and there's irritation/inflammation at the beginning of her small intestine. They will be giving her a strong antacid and another med that will coat her GI tract to protect everything better.
They said a g-tube is a good idea, but not yet. I need to get more clarification if that means to wait until she's healed from this or if we should wait until she definitely needs it.
They have an NG tube (feeding tube that goes down the nasal cavities and into the stomach) in now and will be giving her a strong laxative to clear her system.
