They are not harmless. Refugees have a very different culture to the uk and "refugee" is a blanket statement. What exactly do they stand for? 72 virgins in paradise? You've said yourself the uk has problems with rape, so why do you think immigration of people from a different culture is not "the worst of our problems" regardless of rape religion or politics?

I went to a school with a majority Muslim populace (80 to 90%), and most of them were just standard, decent people. They were also from a wide variety of countries, with vastly different backgrounds and customs, not just some weird caricature of what a Muslim should be.
There were a fair amount of idiots and dickheads, but they weren't dickheads because they were Muslim, they were just general dickheads.

In fact, I remember a few of them joining the school in year 9 or something, basically fresh to the country. They were generally quieter, more anxious, more polite, because they were in a new environment and were trying to adjust.Your 'fresh of the boat rapist' image doesn't ring true to me at all.

Basically, this whole leaving the EU and "We don't need any more problems" stuff, I can see where you're coming from, but I just intrinsically disagree with it. I find people are better together, and if we can prove ourselves as a country willing to help the world and take part in important crises and events, we could help to set a standard of how all countries could be.
Overly optimistic, sure, but I don't see the harm in at least trying to not be seen as an incredibly self-important and uncaring country.

My problem is the lack of control and the guilty liberals thinking immigrants are a good thing. They're not. At least, not now. They prey on the weakest, mostly drug addicts.
We can't dominate the world if we let scum in the country. No rapist allowed. No terrorist allowed. No scum allowed. No Pakistani thinking their family can get them to soak up white civilisation allowed.
